Superhero Paper Dolls
Student work from Everyday Arts Lab Fall '23; Grades 1&2
Lesson by Kris Huang
Through this project, students explored themes of power and the self. Students were asked to think about what makes superheroes super. We then discussed whether superpowers are what make someone powerful.

Students were then asked about what makes them feel powerful to prompt their project brainstorming.

Students received a paper doll template and white paper to draw and cut their dolls' clothes out of. Students showed exceptional confidence and enthusiasm completing this project and showed a deep understanding of power.

Our students showed outstanding creativity and created superheroes unique to each of them.
