Dream Journals

Student work from Everyday Arts Lab Fall '23; Grades 1&2

For this project, students were asked to create 'dream journals' using symbols to communicate their dreams. These journals were based upon artist Etel Adnan's Leporellos accordion booklets (see below).

Students used black oil pastels and watercolors to complete their journals. Many students painted the monsters from their favorite game, Rainbow Friends. Others decided to theme their books around their favorite things.
