Visual Conflict Collages

To introduce this project, students learned about visual conflict and conflicting ideas (such as up and down). Students then created collages with magazine clippings and paper that represented these conflicting or opposite ideas.

Some students decided to collage two vastly different objects into one whole. Others decided to represent two opposing ideas or objects separately to demonstrate their differences despite their similarities (such as cars and planes).
